Enigma verte lev en ft de chne (aged in cask)

Enigma verte Élevé en fût de chêne (aged in cask)

After a year of trials, we are pleased to confirm that we will be launching a cask aged expression of Enigma verte. Enigma verte has been carefully aged in casks using Tronçais oak from the Alliers region of France. The oaks of Tronçais are prized for the barrels used for cognac and the top wines of Bordeaux.

Tasting notes

Colour: Olive green with yellow highlights
Aroma: Toffee and caramel overlaying anise and wormwood
Louche: Classic, forming swiftly with green tinges
Flavour: Smooth and creamy with wormwood and anise to the fore
Finish: long and smooth
Overview: Initial impression on the nose is of a vintage absinthe, the herbal qualities of the Enigma have been softened and harmonised.
